Anderson Knight are recruiting a HR Adviser for a 12 month fixed term contract, for our client based in Edinburgh. This is a full time position with hybrid working (50/50 split between office and home). Our client is also open to candidates who would prefer to work reduced hours on a 4 day week.
As an HR Advisor, you'll play a key role in supporting managers and employees by providing expert advice on a range of HR matters, from casework management to policy development. You'll be part of an innovative and supportive organisation committed to building strong, person-centered relationships and promoting wellbeing both within the team and the wider community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively manage HR casework, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, and absence issues, ensuring compliance with policies and sector standards.
- Provide guidance on organisational policies and procedures to employees at all levels, creating templates, guides, and letters as required.
- Assist with recruitment, pay and reward, and organisational change initiatives. Support HR administrators with complex queries, ensuring effective resolution.
- Support the administration of critical compliance activities, including employee checks, recruitment processes, and record management.
- Use HR information systems to generate reports and provide insights for HR and management decision-making.
- Lead and contribute to HR projects aimed at improving practices and processes across the organisation, addressing root causes of people-related issues.
- Assist in the implementation and communication of new or revised HR policies and procedures, including delivering training sessions to teams.
- Provide general support to ensure the efficient and professional delivery of the HR function.
