Your new companyOur client is a reputable contractor committed to providing high-quality housing and maintenance services to domestic properties. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced gas engineer to join our team on a temporary basis.

Your new roleYour responsibilities will include both the installation and maintenance of gas works in residential properties, including;

  • Performing general gas engineering work, including fixing issues with existing gas works.
  • Installing new gas works as required.
  • Conducting routine inspections and maintenance of gas works.
  • Responding to emergency gas engineering issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.

What you'll need to succeedOur client is looking for a gas engineer with a background in maintenance and who is comfortable in a maintenance environment, working with members of the public. Successful candidates will preferably have experience in gas maintenance on residential properties.Main requirements:

  • Proven experience as a maintenance gas engineer
  • Relevant gas engineering qualifications (Gas Safe Registration, ACS Certification (preferably with CENWAT1))
  • Valid Driving License
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship
