Job Title: Private Family Solicitor
Salary: up to 50,000
Hours: Full Time
Location: South Birmingham
Overview
We are looking for an 2PQE+ Family Solicitor looking to join a well-established firm. The focus of your caseload will cover all aspects of family law including divorce, finances, children and non molestation which may also encompass some legal aid files.
Your day to day
* Meeting clients face to face in the office, take instructions and provide your expert Legal advice
* Engaging in discussions with opposing parties to reach amicable settlements, where possible, in the best interests of clients
* Maintaining organised and up-to-date client files, ensuring all correspondence and documentation are accurately recorded.
* Drafting legal documents, including petitions, agreements, and court applications, with attention to detail and precision. You will have support of a Paralegal and a Secretary as well as support from a Senior Solicitor
* Court attendance
Experience Required
This role requires a compassionate and professional approach, as you will be handling sensitive and often complex family matters. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple cases effectively are essential.
* Qualified Solicitor (or equivalent) within Family Law at 2 PQE+
* Strong background within Private Family Law
* Ability to run your own caseload of Private Family matters from inception to completion
* Solid track record of monthly billing in Private Family Law
* Personable and friendly approach both with clients and colleagues dealing with sensitive issues.
* Proficient IT skills
