Reed is delighted to be supporting a well-respected proprietor on an exciting 12-month fixed term contract based at their new office in Central Edinburgh. The organisation requires a skilled payroll assistant to join the business and support with the 4-weekly payroll collated via their weekly timesheet system.

To be successful in this role, you will have a friendly, can-do attitude and possess UK payroll experience. Full training will provided on their system however experience with accounting/payroll software is advantageous.

The organisation is offering a dynamic role which can help take you to the next level, working alongside a long-standing team in the heart of Edinburgh.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing 4 weekly payroll
  • Administering company pension scheme
  • Handling SMP, SSP and SPP claims
  • Preparing journals
  • Processing timesheet hours
  • Starters & Leavers
  • Processing contract and pay changes
  • Administering statutory payments

Candidate Proficiencies

  • UK Payroll Experience – Essential
  • Strong experience with MS Office packages including Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple workloads
  • Strong attention to detail
