  • Main duties:

  • Manage portfolio of clients, meeting their requirements and maximising fee income.

  • Manage the production of clients personal tax computations.

  • Plan, control, and review work carried out be team members to ensure work is completed within time frames and budget.

  • Respond to tax queries from Partners/Directors/Managers.

  • Carry out consultancy work when required.

  • Attend client meetings where appropriate.

  • Design and implement standard letters/systems to improve the efficiency of the Tax Department.

  • Spot opportunities for relevant advisory work with existing clients.

  • ICAS, ACA or CTA qualified with Tax experience in practice

  • Varied, practical and technical tax knowledge.

  • Positive, enthusiastic approach

  • Able to train junior members of staff.

  • IT packages (Excel, tax software, Word).

  • Communication skills.

  • Organisational skills.

  • Commercial awareness / client focus.

  • Problem solving and decision making.

  • Ability to work well under pressure.
