Sales Executive - International Markets

We are looking for a driven and consultative Sales Executive to join this team and play a pivotal role in converting inbound leads into sales. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a company with a strong global presence, offering a unique product range and expanding into new markets.

About the Role

The company has built a strong reputation in its niche industry, generating a steady flow of inbound sales inquiries through extensive marketing efforts. As a Sales Executive, your primary responsibility will be to engage with these potential customers, provide expert guidance on product solutions, and secure sales. You will work closely with internal teams, ensuring smooth order fulfilment and exceptional customer satisfaction.

For the right candidate, there is also the opportunity to contribute to the development of international sales channels, including distributor and reseller recruitment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to inbound inquiries via phone, email, and virtual meetings, effectively converting leads into orders.
  • Deliver compelling product presentations, explaining features and benefits to prospective customers.
  • Provide quotes, proposals, and follow-ups to close deals and maximize sales opportunities.
  • Ensure a seamless handover of confirmed orders to the sales administration team for processing.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and explore opportunities for repeat business.
  • Manage customer expectations, resolve concerns, and ensure satisfaction post-sale.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide sales coverage when team members are on leave.
  • Utilize tools like Google Translate to engage with international clients when necessary.
  • Contribute to identifying and appointing overseas resellers or distributors to expand into new markets (if applicable).

What We’re Looking For

  • A proven track record in telephone sales, project/solution sales, or distributor/reseller management.
  • An adaptable, self-motivated individual with a consultative sales approach.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively across different cultures.
  • Commercially astute, with experience in pricing, margin management, and structured sales campaigns.
  • Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal), able to influence and persuade effectively.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Goal-oriented, target-driven, and professional in attitude and conduct.
  • Additional language skills (such as European languages) would be advantageous.

Working Hours & Location

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (with flexibility based on workload and business needs).
  • Office-based role in Englefield Green, with occasional travel for exhibitions and sales events.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: £30K - £35K base, with an OTE of £55K - £60K in the first year (commission kicks in after a 3-month probation period).
  • Potential for additional bonuses based on exceeding sales targets.
  • Contributory pension scheme available after the probationary period.
  • Travel expenses covered for UK-based face-to-face meetings (note: no company car included due to the international nature of sales).
