Freightserve recruitment are looking for an Air Export Clerk for a well-established Freight Forwarder based in the Thorpe, Surrey area.
Overall Purpose of the Job
To ensure all work is undertaken and actioned correctly in accordance with company procedures and policies. Ensuring that our customers and overseas agents receive a good level of service and are kept up to date with all aspects of the shipments making them aware of any problems with or delays to their shipments.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Working with the China export team closely
- Ensure that all relevant emails, documents and information are uploaded / added into Boxtop. This includes copies of all export documentation and relevant emails in case of future audits
- Arrange collection of any U.K. shipments for export to China and Nigeria, directly through a designated haulier/courier company and ensuring all correct documentation is in place
- Keep warehouse aware of any direct deliveries from UK suppliers/courier or any other 3rd party
- Handling transhipments for Nigeria
- Issue export entries correctly using cds/sequoia
- Ensure all shipments are exported / completed correctly and in a timely manner once the shipment has arrived into the designated handling warehouse
- Assist, mentor and train other staff members in exports and procedures
- Ensure invoicing requirements are met, issued correctly and in a timely manner. Ensure to work compliantly with aeo and compliance procedures
- Ensure that all relevant emails, documents and information are uploaded / added into Boxtop. This includes copies of all export documentation and relevant emails in case of future audits
- Ensure in house training is up to date
Skills Required:-
- Exporting goods by all modes of transport including air freight/ ocean freight and road freight.
- Good communication skills written and verbal

- Good understanding of the international trade / and compliance requirements

Working hours are Monday - Friday 0900 - 1730
