Robert Half have partnered with a leading Manufacturing business based in Halifax in the recruitment of a talented Finance Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to progress their career towards a Financial Controller role within a well established and growing organisation.

The Role

As the Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing all aspects of management accounting and take full ownership of the profit and loss (P&L) function. You will be responsible for key financial processes, including balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, journal entries, and handling some payroll queries.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts up to trial balance.
Conduct thorough balance sheet reconciliations.
Manage accruals and prepayments.
Post journal entries accurately and efficiently.
Respond to and resolve payroll-related queries.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Provide financial insights and support to internal stakeholders.
Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks as required.

About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and career-driven individual with strong financial expertise and a keen interest in progressing within the business.

Requirements:

ACA/CIMA or ACCA qualified
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the manufacturing sector
A strong understanding of management accounting principles
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
Ambition to progress towards a Financial Controller role.

Salary & Benefits

£50,000 - £58,000 DOE per annum (dependent on experience).
