JHE & Partners are working exclusively with an innovative technology and services organisation based in the Halifax area, who are seeking to appoint an experienced Finance Manager. The business forms part of a highly successful global group with an excellent reputation and a track record of working with some of the largest businesses in the UK.

The role will require an experienced and detail-orientated Finance Manager to effectively manage and oversee the finance team, reporting directly to the FD. The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the accounting functions, conducting high-level reconciliations, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. Therefore, people management skills and maximising the performance of your team is very important, as is the ability to work closely with the Finance Director on projects and long-term strategy.

Ideally the chosen candidate will be ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified, although candidates qualified by experience will be considered.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage all accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
  • Conduct high-level reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Review and analyse financial data, preparing detailed reports for management.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency of financial operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and decision-making.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
