  • A leading manufacturing and installation company is seeking an Estimator or recent Graduate to join their team.
  • The role involves estimating and quoting for manufactured joinery and managing client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Candidates should have a joinery or construction background, along with experience in managing joinery projects, and will be expected to report regularly to company Directors.
  • The position requires at least 2 years of relevant experience and offers a competitive salary of £30,000 to £40,000 per annum.

A great opportunity has arisen for an Estimator or recent Graduate to join a leading manufacturing and install company 

Key responsibilities

  • Estimate and quote for manufactured joinery and site work as part of the wider Estimating team.
  • Provide a single point of contact for clients during tender stage and throughout project life cycle.
  • Be part of commercial aspects of each project from inception through to completion including creation and control of an accurate project programme.
  • Follow projects from enquiry to hand-over through to final accounts.
  • Build and maintain excellent client relationships.
  • Communicate company policies; quality control; health, safety and environmental standards to all members of the team.
  • Monitor job costings and take overall accountability for a variety of different joinery tenders.
  • Regularly reporting to company Directors regarding department progress.

Beneficial Skills / Qualifications:

  • Experience managing joinery / shop-fitting / commercial fit-out projects.
  • Experience estimating both site works and factory-built joinery.
  • A joinery / construction background and / or a related degree.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel
  • Someone goal-minded who strives to meet deadlines.
  • A quick learner with a keen eye for detail.
  • Confident managing and leading a department.
  • Highly organised and conscientious individual who is able to effectively prioritise their time.
  • Goal-minded individual who strives to meet deadlines and targets.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Confident in communicating and collaborating with both internal colleagues and external contacts.
  • Strong self-motivation and organisational skills.
  • Ability to stay focussed and calm during high pressure situations.
  • The capacity to inspire and motivate others through skilful use of appropriate leadership style.
