Management Accountant | North West | Public Sector | Flexible and Hybrid Working

Castlefield Recruitment are working with a Public Sector organisation based in the North West in order to recruit a Management Accountant, on a permanent basis.

Role:As a Management Accountant you will be responsible for supporting key service area to improve financial visibility with stakeholders.Duties:

  • Production of accurate monthly management accounts and forecasts in line with agreed timescales
  • Assist in the development of the annual budget, working with budget holders to determine phased income and expenditure budgets
  • Review and challenge budgets and forecasts from budget holders where necessary
  • Production of KPI information including monthly reports, dashboards, assisting in the production of Board papers, variance analysis and other commentary
  • Management and development of small Finance team

Person:The successful candidate:

  • Accountancy qualification desirable (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
  • Have the drive to develop and upskill staff
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Public Sector experience desirable
