- Role:Â Regional Commercial Manager
- Accountable for the North-West Business Unit working with the operational Business Unit Director to deliver the regions targets.Â
- Reports to the Head of Commercial - Onshore
- Key Skills / Attributes:
- An experienced commercial manager with at least 10 year’s experience in a commercial role.Â
- Must have:
- Experience of managing a portfolio of work across various clients and locations running concurrently.
- Contractor background, used to managing month end CVR process, managing site costs and regional overhead costs
- Strong understanding of contract models predominantly based upon schedule of rates / unit rates and based upon various methods of measurement
- Strong understanding of labour costs including those governed via national agreements (NAECI, CIJC etc)
- Track record of extracting value / gross margin from contract models including the management of gross margin / contract improvement plans
- Experience managing a small team of commercial staff (QS’s, Cost Engineers, Commercial admin) including mentoring and individual development of direct reports
- Comfortable in front of the client, including negotiating contract settlements / agreements both pre & post contract
- Preferable but not essential:
- Experience in industrial services
- Knowledge of contract law and disputes
- Location: Covering the North-West region (Runcorn, Ellesmere Port and surrounding areas). Local candidate preferred but could be located elsewhere in the UK if willing to travel to our north-west office in Ellesmere Port 3 days per week. Up to 2 days p/week WFH or local office. Accommodation and travel would be paid for the right candidate.
