With around 250 employees spread across multiple sites in the North and West of England, our client is seeking a Payroll Manager to assist with the day-to-day operations of the business.Let's Talk About the Role:As a Payroll Manager, you will play a vital role in overseeing the Payroll Team and ensuring its high performance. Your responsibilities will include:* Managing and supporting the Payroll Team, monitoring their performance and development.* Administering a portfolio of medium to large-sized client payrolls, including RTI submissions, processing end-of-year forms, and managing auto-enrolment.* Preparing weekly and monthly client payrolls, involving data input, reconciliation, payslip generation, and client reporting.* Providing technical support to clients on payroll, PAYE, and basic employment matters.* Liaising with third parties such as HMRC and pension providers on behalf of clients.* Maintaining regular communication with clients, both over the phone and in person.* Developing and nurturing relationships with internal and external contacts.About You:We are looking for candidates who:* Have proven experience in leading and managing a payroll team, ideally from a bureau background or within an accountancy practice.* Are highly efficient with a solid track record of running payrolls from start to finish, including all statutory calculations, RTI submissions, year-end processes, and complex payrolls.* Possess first-class, up-to-date payroll knowledge.How to Apply:If this role sounds like a great fit for you, please hit the apply button.
