Our client is looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor for a 12 Month Contract.

 

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Ellesmere Port
Contract Type: 12-Month Contract (Inside IR35)
Working Pattern: Onsite, 5 days a week

 

Role Overview:

 

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support ongoing main contractor works in Ellesmere Port during shutdowns, turnarounds, and potential new buildings for the Hydrogen division. This role requires strong commercial management skills, particularly within Oil & Gas (O&G) projects, ensuring effective cost control, contract management, and financial reporting.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Oversee and manage contractor works in line with shutdowns, turnarounds, and new construction projects.
  • Ensure financial and contractual control of projects under NEC 3/4 contract frameworks.
  • Provide cost reporting, forecasting, and risk management.
  • Liaise with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure budget compliance.
  • Evaluate variations, claims, and disputes to ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Support procurement, tendering, and contract administration processes.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Proven experience in Quantity Surveying within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC 3/4 contracts and their application in complex industrial projects.
  • Understanding of contractor management during shutdowns and turnarounds.
  • Experience working within highly regulated, high-risk environments.
