Here at Academics, we are recruiting on behalf of a Primary School who are on the lookout for a creative and energetic Support Staff, to join their team of educators. The school itself is situated within the Ellesmere Port area.

You will be working both 1:1 and as a general classroom assistant so must be confident and adaptable. Due to the nature of the role, the school in question are looking for an individual who can commit to full time, long term to ensure consistency and continuity for the students involved.

You will be required to start, full time, long term (Monday to Friday) 8:30am - 3:15pmon a temporary basis. The pay will be discussed upon registration and is dependent on your experience and ability; however, the range will be between £85 - £100 per day.

The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • You have the legal right to work in the UK.
  • You hold a current and valid DBS.
  • You have previous experience working with children in a classroom.
  • Experience in supporting children with learning difficulties or disabilities.

Specific responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:

  • Supporting the teaching staff and the children to enhance learning.
  • Reinforcing lessons presented by teachers by reviewing material with students individually or in small groups.
  • Enforce school and class rules.
  • Help prepare for the lesson by getting materials ready.
  • Supervise students and support teachers.
  • In-classroom support, small group sessions and one to ones
