Design Technician

Full Time / Hybrid Working 

Location: Coalville

Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm

Basic Salary: £25,000.00 to £40,000.00 Per Annum depending on experience

An opportunity has risen for a Design Technician to join a FANTASTIC BRAND within the construction industry as a Design Technician & support the Design Technician Manager on a Full Time Permanent basis

As a Design Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Produce material information for several types regarding the fitting of furniture
  • Handle new design layouts and products as a Design Technician
  • Provide technical support to other internal teams to ensure installations are in line with company processes and procedures
  • Work to deadlines and service level agreements as a Design Technician
  • Identify standard and bespoke products as and when required
  • Share technical skills and processes with internal teams as appropriate
  • Take full ownership of specific tasks and requirements within the team as a Design Technician
  • Interpret drawings and layouts for manufacturing purposes as a Design Technician
  • Process orders and creating Bill of Materials (BOM) for the purpose of manufacturing
  • Use CAD for drawing purposes

As a Design Technician, you will have:

  • Proven experience as Design Technician or Design Manager or Design Engineer from a Manufacturing background
  • Skilled and experienced analysing data and Bill of Materials  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and an empathetic approach when dealing with colleagues.
