CNC Sliding head Turner - full time hours over 4 day week (every friday off)

Senior opportunity for a skilled CNC Turnerprogramming, setting, and operating Star sliding head lathes making complex, high-precision components for the aerospace automotive and medical industries.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Program, set, and operate sliding head machinery.
  • Perform rapid changeovers and set up for short production runs.
  • Develop initial prototypes to confirm adherence to specifications.
  • Preparing machinery for lights out working.
  • Maintain precision within tight tolerances, ensuring that finished products comply with quality standards.
  • Understand and interpret technical drawings to manage quality control throughout the production process.

What You Will Bring:

  • Proven experience in programming, setting, and operating sliding head machines (Star preference).
  • In-depth knowledge of precision engineering and the ability to read intricate technical drawings.
