We are working exclusively with one of the UK's largest fresh produce providers to recruit an experienced Head of Technical Compliance. This exciting role offers the chance to lead the company's commitment to food safety, quality assurance, environmental sustainability, and ethical practices.

The Role
As the Head of Technical Compliance, you will provide strategic technical leadership across the business's operations, including European sites, growers, and third-party suppliers. Your role will be central to maintaining their industry-leading reputation for quality, innovation, and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure compliance with food safety legislation, product legality, and quality standards across all operations and suppliers.
* Lead the implementation of electronic auditing systems for BRC and retailer codes of practice.
* Define and uphold technical and quality standards, exceeding customer expectations.
* Promote Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and integrate supplier approval and risk management tools.
* Monitor supplier performance, develop supply bases, and drive customer improvement plans.
* Provide technical leadership across farming, processing, and marketing functions.
* Represent the business on CFA/FPC technical committees to help shape industry standards.
* Drive positive environmental and social impacts through compliance activities.
About You

We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented professional with the following:
* A degree in a food-related discipline and 10+ years of experience in chilled foods with central/group compliance accountability.
* Proven expertise in retailer codes of practice, chilled ready-to-eat produce, and multi-site operations.
* Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to inspire teams and foster relationships internally and externally.
