HR Assistant – The Role:
The Council is recruiting for an HR Assistant to support our small human resources team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for all HR related queries from managers and staff, providing support and assistance on a range of HR matters.
HR Assistant – Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries from managers and staff
- Provide support and assistance on various HR matters, including terms and conditions, absence management, and training
- Lead the Council’s recruitment processes
- Maintain and update the HR system (iTrent) with accurate employee information
- Ensure employee data is input on time for monthly payroll deadlines
- Prepare contracts of employment and variation letters
HR Assistant – You:
- Minimum of 4 GCSEs (Grade C or above) or equivalent, including English and Maths
- Proven experience in a similar HR administration role
- Strong understanding of administrative activities within the HR function
- Previous experience with HR systems, preferably iTrent, is desirable
- Highly organised, methodical, and detail-oriented with the ability to work confidentially and professionally
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a willingness to be trained on the Council’s IT systems
