Job Responsibilities
In the role of QA Team Leader you will:
- Lead and develop the QA team to ensure consistent delivery of quality and compliance objectives
- Optimise QMS policies, processes, and procedures to maintain product safety, legality, and quality
- Promote a strong Food Safety and Quality Culture across the business
- Conduct and oversee internal audits, traceability exercises, and mock recalls, ensuring continuous readiness for external audits
- Investigate customer complaints and non-conformances, driving corrective actions
- Manage testing schedules for pesticide and microbiological samples
- Analyse KPIs, identify trends, and recommend improvements
- Maintain and update technical documentation and specifications
- Train, mentor, and support team members to foster a high-performance culture
- Ensure compliance with company policies, covering health, safety, and wellbeing
Person Specification
- You must have previous experience within a Quality Assurance role in the food production industry, ideally within a fresh produce environment
- Hold qualifications in HACCP Level 1 (Level 2 desirable), internal auditing, and basic food hygiene
- Possess excellent computer skills across Microsoft office and ERP systems, ideally Dynamics 365 Business Central (previously Navision)
- Previous experience working across QMS systems and driving quality improvement initiatives

- Up to £35,000
- Monday to Friday - 08:00 to 17:00
