Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday

Hours: 8am to 5pm

Our client, a market-leading fresh produce organisation, is seeking an ambitious and motivated QA Team Leader to drive excellence and innovation within their technical department. Job Responsibilities

In the role of QA Team Leader you will:

  • Lead and develop the QA team to ensure consistent delivery of quality and compliance objectives
  • Optimise QMS policies, processes, and procedures to maintain product safety, legality, and quality
  • Promote a strong Food Safety and Quality Culture across the business
  • Conduct and oversee internal audits, traceability exercises, and mock recalls, ensuring continuous readiness for external audits
  • Investigate customer complaints and non-conformances, driving corrective actions
  • Manage testing schedules for pesticide and microbiological samples
  • Analyse KPIs, identify trends, and recommend improvements
  • Maintain and update technical documentation and specifications
  • Train, mentor, and support team members to foster a high-performance culture
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, covering health, safety, and wellbeing

Person Specification

  • You must have previous experience within a Quality Assurance role in the food production industry, ideally within a fresh produce environment
  • Hold qualifications in HACCP Level 1 (Level 2 desirable), internal auditing, and basic food hygiene
  • Possess excellent computer skills across Microsoft office and ERP systems, ideally Dynamics 365 Business Central (previously Navision)
  • Previous experience working across QMS systems and driving quality improvement initiatives

Hours of Work and Pay

  • Up to £35,000
  • Monday to Friday - 08:00 to 17:00
