Position: SEN Teacher

About the Role:
Supply Desk is excited to support a welcoming and inclusive school in Haddenham in their search for an experienced and compassionate SEN Teacher. The role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse group of students, tailoring lessons to meet the individual needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging, personalized lessons for students with a range of SEN.
  • Implement differentiated teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Collaborate with support staff, parents, and external agencies to create and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Track and assess student progress, using data to inform lesson planning and to celebrate achievements.
  • Foster an inclusive and positive learning environment.
  • Provide pastoral support to students, promoting their social and emotional development.
  • Maintain effective classroom management in line with the school’s policies.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (ECTs and experienced teachers welcome to apply).
  • Strong understanding of SEN, including knowledge of various learning difficulties and disabilities.
  • Proven experience working with students with SEN in a school setting is preferable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with SEN.
