Position: SEN Teacher
Location: Haddenham, Buckinghamshire
Contract Type: Full-Time
Salary: £31,350 - £47,839 (dependent on experience)
Start Date: January 2025
About the Role:
Supply Desk is excited to support a welcoming and inclusive school in Haddenham in their search for an experienced and compassionate SEN Teacher. The role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse group of students, tailoring lessons to meet the individual needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging, personalized lessons for students with a range of SEN.
- Implement differentiated teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners.
- Collaborate with support staff, parents, and external agencies to create and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Track and assess student progress, using data to inform lesson planning and to celebrate achievements.
- Foster an inclusive and positive learning environment.
- Provide pastoral support to students, promoting their social and emotional development.
- Maintain effective classroom management in line with the school’s policies.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (ECTs and experienced teachers welcome to apply).
- Strong understanding of SEN, including knowledge of various learning difficulties and disabilities.
- Proven experience working with students with SEN in a school setting is preferable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with SEN.
