TIG Welder/Fabricator
Location: Ely, Cambridgeshire
Salary: Up to 15.50 per hour
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Are you an experienced TIG Welder/Fabricator looking to join a well-established engineering company? Our client is seeking a skilled professional to join their Fabrication department and contribute to their reputation for high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- TIG weld stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminium to a high standard while adhering to engineering drawings.
- Weld box section frames and assemblies with precision and tight tolerances.
- Ensure all manufactured parts conform to issued drawings and work instructions.
- Complete tasks within allocated budgeted hours.
- Assist in developing new products to meet customer requirements, including fabricating jigs and fixtures as needed.
- Perform general sheet metal fabrication and finishing tasks.
Skills and Attributes:
- Proven TIG welding ability with excellent attention to detail.
- Competent in completing documentation to aerospace standards (AS 9100) and following written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to interpret and follow customer drawings accurately.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.
- Strong teamwork ethic and good communication skills.
