GSL Education are currently working closely with a lovely school in Emsworth. This friendly SEMH School is focused strongly on providing support and care for their pupils. The school aims to meet the needs of secondary-aged (11-16) children who have difficulty managing social interactions, building positive relationships and regulating their emotions.
Working in a SEMH school can be challenging. We need the right person with the right attitude.
We are looking for a calm, caring and highly motivated individual who is very understanding with challenging behaviour. Experience in a school environment is desirable but work experience that can be adapted is accepted.
This Role includes,
- Supporting the teaching and learning of SEMH pupils
- Working closely with pupils who display challenging behaviour and emotional difficulties
- Working in classrooms supporting Teachers and fellow Teaching Assistants
- Full-time is preferred but part-time applicants may still apply, as job shares can be available
- Hours 8:30am-3:30pm
- £12.82 -£14.72 per hour
To work with GSL Education as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you should:
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
