An established joinery manufacturer are seeking skilled Bench Hand Joiner to join their diverse and inclusive team due to company growth. The ideal candidate will be proficient in woodworking and have experience with a variety of tools and machinery. As a Bench Hand Joiner, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process and contribute to the creation of high-quality furniture products.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and join wooden components using a variety of tools and techniques
  • Operate and maintain woodworking machinery such as CNC routers, edge banders, planers, and spindle moulders
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate assembly
  • Ensure high standards of quality and craftsmanship in all woodworking tasks
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and achieve production targets
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Bench Hand Joiner or similar role
  • Proficiency in using woodworking tools and machinery, including spindle moulders, planers, laminators and edge banders
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Certification or apprenticeship in woodworking or a related field is a plus

Day-to-day:

As a Bench Hand Joiner, you will spend your days assembling and joining high end wooden furniture components using a variety of tools and machinery. You will collaborate with team members to ensure the production process runs smoothly and efficiently while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.
