Title: Management Accountant

Location: Enfield, North London (2 days WFH, hybrid working)

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000

Our client is a national real estate group, based in north London. Due to the continued growth of the company, they are looking for a Management Accountant to join the expanding Finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts for the group, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
  • Oversee cash flow, budgeting, and financial forecasting to ensure efficient financial management.
  • Manage and maintain financial records, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Prepare documents and assist with the annual audit process, liaising with auditors to provide necessary information and resolve any queries.
  • Understand the flow of transactions from start to finish and understand system deficiencies and recommend action steps to improve the governance and control environment going forward
  • Understand the design/implementation/operating effectiveness of controls within the business leading to a strong control environment
  • Assist with budgets and financial forecasts, including detailed commentary, if required
  • Understand how stock is calculated/valued to maintain accuracy and completion
  • Perform ad hoc tasks/duties for Financial Controller/Head of Finance/COO

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in preparing management accounts and other month-end duties
  • Real estate/property management sector experience is desirable but not essential
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
  • ACCA/CIMA part-qualified
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work to deadlines
