About the Role:Enfield Council is looking for an Operational Support Officer to join our team on a full-time, office-based contract. As part of our dedicated team, you will provide essential support across various services in Adult Social Care, including Adult Safeguarding, Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, and Older People/Physical Disabilities. This role is key in ensuring smooth operational coordination and maintaining data integrity across the services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide reception duties and serve as the first point of contact for service users, their families, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Input and process sensitive and complex data across multiple systems, ensuring data quality is maintained for reporting and statutory returns.
  • Manage referrals and ensure that urgent matters are flagged and addressed promptly.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with service deadlines and priorities.
  • Offer finance-related support, ensuring payments and contributions are processed promptly.
  • Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity when dealing with complex and distressing content.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent command of written English with strong numeracy skills.
  • Prior experience in an adult social care setting, especially in roles relating to vulnerable service users, is highly desirable.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • A calm and empathetic approach when interacting with service users, particularly those with Learning Disabilities.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
