Our client is a well-established company with a nationwide presence. They are looking to recruit an ISO Officer, to join their Head Office team, working closely with the Directors and Operations Manager. This role would suit a self-starter who can work on their initiative and is confident in their skillset.

Duties to include: -

  • Ensure that company maintains and works within ISO 9001:2015 and liaises with any external bodies on matters related to the external accreditation process.
  • Support ongoing compliance with international standards, including ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and facilitate external third-party audits.
  • Ensure that processes for the Integrated Management System (IMS) are established, implemented, and maintained.
  • Work with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers and initiate the review and approval of suppliers in line with the company’s requirements.
  • Support the IMS team with all applicable policies in line with the company’s requirements and the requirements of applicable legislation.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and internal audits to ensure compliance with internal processes, procedures, and legislative requirements.
  • Perform and review all risk assessments, including COSHH assessments for hazardous substances.
  • Create and share safety communications, such as lessons learned, toolbox talks, and best practices.
  • Maintain and conduct internal audits for the company, investigate non- conformances and complaints, and track the closure of corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with client representatives on QHSE matters.

Experience/Knowledge Required:

  • Proven experience working with ISO 9001
  • Also ideally ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards but this is not essential
  • Experience in conducting internal audits and risk assessments.
  • Experience in maintaining Integrated Management System (IMS).
  • Full UK driving licence required.
  • Requirement to travel to other sites - car provided or travel paid for

Working hours are 8 am - 4.30 pm Monday to Friday - hybrid working available

Salary : £38 to £45k per annum, depending on skills and experience
