About the Position:LTF Recruitment is on the lookout for a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a thriving All Through SEND school in Enfield. This role involves providing tailored support to students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, and other learning challenges. This school places a strong emphasis on inclusivity and ensuring all students have access to a supportive educational environment.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll work alongside teachers, the SENCo, and other team members to adapt lessons and learning activities, helping each student achieve their personal best.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1:1 and small group support for students with various SEN, adapting your approach to meet individual learning needs
  • Assist students with conditions such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and other learning barriers, encouraging them to engage and participate in lessons
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and SENCo to implement customised support plans
  • Foster social and emotional skills in students, promoting independence and self-confidence
  • Help maintain a positive classroom atmosphere, ensuring a safe and inclusive space for all learners
  • Record and report student progress, offering insights to the SEN team to adjust learning strategies when needed
