GSL Education London Branch are seeking a dedicated ESOL Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic team at a client secondary school in Enfield. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about supporting students in their English language development and eager to contribute to a vibrant educational environment.

Responsibilities of a ESOL Teaching Assistant:

  • Support the teaching and learning of ESOL students across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
  • Assist in planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to the needs of ESOL students.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to help students improve their English language skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.

Requirements of a ESOL Teaching Assistant:

  • Previous experience as an ESOL Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of ESOL teaching methods and strategies.
  • Ability to teach and support students at KS3, KS4, and KS5 levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as a ESOL Teaching Assistant.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
