Marine Radar Assembly Technician - Advancing Naval Navigation Technology

Our client, a global leader in defence and security sensor technologies, is seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join their innovative team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the manufacture of state-of-the-art electromechanical components crucial to marine radar navigation systems.

The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with a commitment to precision, playing a vital role in ensuring the safety and efficacy of maritime operations worldwide.

Position Overview: The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly, testing, and rework of high-complexity electromechanical products that are integral to our marine radar navigation range.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and test electromechanical equipment to exacting quality standards
  • Interpret and follow detailed technical documentation, including schematics and procedures
  • Perform precision tasks such as soldering, wiring, crimping, and PCB rework
  • Conduct self-inspections and participate in peer reviews
  • Contribute to the development of Standard Operating Procedures
  • Engage in proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive work ethic
  • Proficiency in numerical and written communication
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
