Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) – Enfield
An independent specialist school in Enfield is seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join our team. We provide a nurturing environment for children aged 7 to 17 with autism and associated needs, focusing on personalised education and holistic development.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the provision for students with special educational needs, ensuring each child receives tailored support.

Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to develop and implement effective Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

Monitor and evaluate the progress of students, adjusting interventions as necessary to promote optimal development.

Provide guidance and training to staff on SEN best practices and strategies.

Liaise with parents and carers, maintaining open communication to support students' educational journeys.
Qualifications and Experience:

A recognised SENCO qualification is essential.

Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a specialist educational setting.

In-depth knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and relevant legislation.

Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a team.
