We are currently seeking motivated and reliable SEN Teacher to join in January 2025 for a full time teacher role. The school is

As a SEN Teacher, you will be required to deliver lessons to year 8 and 9 students. There are approximately 6-8 students in each class and you will be supported by a number of very experienced TA's. The main needs of the students are SEMH and ASD and the curriculum will be taught at year 6 level.

This role would be suited to a qualified primary/secondary teacher in any discipline with the desire to work with children with special needs and foster a harmonious and equal opportunities learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be able to offer a programme of support.
  • Working collaboratively with team members.
  • Adapt lessons to individual needs of the students
  • Be able to manage challenging behaviour
  • Be optimistic, hard-working, enthusiastic and creative.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: QTS, ECT, PGCE
  • Experience: SEN experience is desireable but not essential
  • Knowledge: Understanding of supporting SEN pupils
