The Role

We are looking for a Year 1 Teacher who can deliver the national curriculum in a way that is engaging, fun, and tailored to SEN students. Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver play-based, interactive lessons that cater to the needs of high-functioning SEN pupils.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that encourages creativity and exploration.
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants and support staff to ensure personalised learning experiences.
  • Use assessment data to inform lesson planning and track student progress.
  • Engage with parents, SENCOs, and external specialists to provide the best possible support for each child.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • A bachelor's degree and a PGCE (or equivalent).
  • Proven classroom experience, ideally within an SEN or play-based learning environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with support staff and external professionals.
  • A passion for inclusive education and breaking away from the traditional classroom routine.
