My client, a fast growing commercial vehicle hire company, with a growing fleet and an expanding customer base, are looking for a Fleet Maintenance Controller to manage the fleet vehicle servicing, repairs and compliance.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team in a crucial role that ensures their fleet remains on the road and customers receive the highest level of service.

The Role of the Fleet Maintenance Controller / Fleet Administrator / Fleet Coordinator / Workshop Controller / Service Controller / Service Advisor:

You will be responsible for the efficient coordination of vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs, ensuring minimal downtime and compliance with all regulations. You will work closely with the in-house workshop, mobile mechanics, and external suppliers to manage costs and keep the fleet in peak condition.

Key Responsibilities for the Fleet Maintenance Controller:

  • Fleet Maintenance Coordination: Schedule and manage servicing, MOTs, and repairs for our fleet.
  • Supplier & Workshop Liaison: Work with the Mobile, in house mechanics and external repair providers to ensure timely, cost-effective maintenance.
  • Breakdown & Repairs Management: Oversee vehicle breakdowns and ensure fast, efficient repairs to minimise downtime.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all vehicles comply with DVSA and operator licensing requirements.
  • Parts ordering: ordering stock and fast flowing parts, monitoring /negotiating pricing
  • Customer Support: Liaise with B2B clients regarding maintenance schedules and vehicle availability.

The ideal Fleet Maintenance Controller / Fleet Administrator / Fleet Coordinator / Workshop Controller / Service Controller / Service Advisor will have:

  • Experience in fleet maintenance, transport, or vehicle hire.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle servicing, MOT requirements, and repair processes.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience managing external suppliers.
