Internal Audit Executive: Enniskillen Area

Permanent | Full-Time | £salary negotiable and dependent on experience |

REED is delighted to be partnered with our client, a highly successful manufacturing business based in the Enniskillen area, in the appointment of a full-time Internal Audit Executive to join their dynamic team.

Reporting directly to the Internal Control Systems Committee, this is a stand-alone role offering those with 3 + years internal audit experience the opportunity to take ownership of the company’s internal audit function.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Performing internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes in line with International Audit Standards and Ethical frameworks.
  • Assessing the efficiency and effectiveness of operational processes and suggesting improvements.
  • Working with business unit managers to ensure adherence to industry standards, regulations, ISO Certifications, and company policies.
  • Collaborating with various business units to implement audit recommendations and track progress on internal and external audit issues.
  • Creating detailed audit reports that include findings, recommendations, and action plans.
  • Identifying and managing risks related to operational processes, including spotting vulnerabilities, threats, and potential impacts.
  • Keeping up to date with regulatory changes and industry best practices.
  • Providing training and support to staff on matters related to internal control, risk management, and compliance.

The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • A Masters / Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, together with a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or equivalent certification is essential.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in internal auditing, preferably in a manufacturing industry environment
  • A strong knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, in addition to being able to demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with attention to detail.
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of integrity and professionalism.
