Senior Design Engineer
Location: Hertfordshire/Bedfordshire/Enfield/Harlow - Commutable from surrounding areas
Salary: £45,000 | Full-Time, On-Site
A well-established engineering company is looking for a Senior Design Engineer to join its growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-precision engineering projects, contributing to the development of cutting-edge solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
·Lead the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies.
·Utilise SolidWorks (or equivalent CAD software) for 3D modelling and 2D manufacturing drawings.
·Solve complex engineering challenges with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
·Manage projects efficiently, working to deadlines with self-motivation.
·Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
·Present technical information clearly to both internal and external stakeholders.
·Mentor and support junior engineers within the department.
Skills & Experience Required:
·Strong technical knowledge of design engineering and manufacturing processes.
·Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD design (SolidWorks preferred).
·Excellent time management, organisation, and teamwork skills.
Qualifications:
·Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Automotive Engineering (Bachelor's/Master's level) OR Chartered Engineer status (IMechE or equivalent) OR equivalent industry experience.
·Minimum 5 years' experience in a relevant design role.

·20 days annual holiday plus bank holidays.

·Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm schedule.
