Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Location: Epping, Essex
Start Date: Immediate Start
Salary: £80 - £95 per day

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and making a difference in their lives?
We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming primary school in Epping. You will be working 1:1 with a Year 3 child who has ADHD and Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), helping them to achieve their full potential and providing the support they need to thrive in their learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support to a Year 3 child with ADHD and ODD, helping them to access the curriculum and participate fully in class activities.
• Assist with the development of personalised learning strategies and help implement these in the classroom.
• Support the child in managing their behaviour and emotions, promoting positive social interactions and conflict resolution.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure the child’s individual learning needs are being met.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, offering encouragement and guidance to help build the child's confidence and independence.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

• Previous experience working with children, ideally with special educational needs (SEN).
• A calm, patient, and nurturing approach to supporting children with ADHD and ODD.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• The ability to use initiative and be adaptable in different situations.
• A passion for supporting children and helping them overcome barriers to learning.
