An exciting new Audit Senior opportunity has arisen within this established Surrey firm of chartered accountants based in Epsom, part of a wider Top 20 firm.

THE ROLE

The role will be 80% audit vs 20% accounts based.

Experience in leading an audit and delivering audit assignments from planning through to completion.

Either qualified (ACA or ACCA) candidates or trainees at the final stage of their professional qualification, or late part-qualified as long as they have the relevant practical experience (70%+ time spent on audit)

Working with the wider team and support the training, supervision and coordination of junior members of the team.

Ability to form professional relationships and work closely with clients, to ensure they deliver timely and relevant information.

Experience in the preparation of financial statements under FRS102, FRS102-1A. Preparation of financial statements under IFRS is beneficial.

Someone who takes ownership of assignments and delivery to budget.

Identifying opportunities to provide added value to clients.

Outstanding communication: keeping the team and clients abreast of the progress on assignments.

Knowledge of Caseware and CCH software is beneficial

Experience of groups and consolidation is beneficial

Up to date working knowledge of financial reporting, auditing standards and company law

ABOUT YOU

You are ACA/ACCA qualified or late finalist, with at least 4 years UK practice background , including statutory accounts preparation and at least 50% UK audit exposure.

  • At least 3 years’ experience working within a UK based accountancy practice, including statutory accounts and at least 50% audit exposure.
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills
  • Conversant in a range of accountancy practice software
