Area Manager - Surrey

My client is looking for a practice manager who will cover the Surrey Arean for their accountancy practice. You will prodomantly be based In the office in Epsom but will need to be a pint of contact for the additional local offices and attending when required.

This is an exciting new position which has become available due to continued growth. You will be working closely with the Directors of the Surrey hub and you will be instrumental in the growth and the success of the firms within that region.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Resource the administrative and support teams across the region
  • Manage workflows and turnaround times
  • Coordinate and monitor training programmes, CPD and professional exams
  • Centralise AML and engagement letters
  • Centralise independence and Integrity checks
  • Manage health and safety for offices
  • Liaise with marketing to coordinate and run events
  • Oversee and support project role outs
  • Reports on team performance
  • Liaise with People function for all HR matters across the ROs including the hub
  • Coordinate IT requirements of ROs with central IT
  • Estates management across the Hub
  • Coordinate recruitment requirements across the Hub with central recruitment
  • Provide compliance support and link to central compliance

About You:

  • Experience within a professional services background
  • Strong experience with stakeholder management
  • A background in either accountancy or finance or similar high growth industries
  • A good understanding of IT systems and ideally knowledge of accountancy software packages.
  • Strong processes and working practices which you can implement across teams
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience working well under pressure and managing sensitive and confidential information
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail
  • The ability to coordinate a range project lines across multiple locations
