Job Overview

We are seeking a Specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our Children's Occupational Therapy Service. This role involves providing specialist assessment, advice, and treatment for children with functional difficulties in self-care, productivity, and leisure. The postholder will work autonomously, contributing to service development and delivering high-quality care as part of a multidisciplinary team, in collaboration with schools and families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions for children with functional difficulties.
  • Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team, school staff, and families to develop tailored care plans.
  • Plan and deliver therapy in accordance with service agreements for Sutton Health & Care Community Services.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the Children's Occupational Therapy service.
  • Maintain accountability for clinical decisions and actions within your defined clinical area.
Requirements
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy and valid HCPC registration.
  • Experience working in paediatrics, specifically with children facing functional challenges.
  • Strong ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially with schools and families.
  • Commitment to service development and continuous professional development.
