Description

  • Assisting in the preparation of tender and contract documents
  • Performing risk and value management to optimise solutions for the client
  • Assisting in establishing a client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies
  • Providing advice on contractual claims and disputes
  • Maintaining awareness of the different contracts in current use
  • Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations
  • Ensuring that post-completion defect liability period obligations are met
  • Working with the project team to plan projects and measure and value the work done on site

Profile

A successful Assistant Quantity Surveyor should have:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Strong numerical and budgeting abilities
  • Excellent knowledge of construction processes and materials
  • Proficiency in computer software for project management
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
