Description
- Assisting in the preparation of tender and contract documents
- Performing risk and value management to optimise solutions for the client
- Assisting in establishing a client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies
- Providing advice on contractual claims and disputes
- Maintaining awareness of the different contracts in current use
- Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations
- Ensuring that post-completion defect liability period obligations are met
- Working with the project team to plan projects and measure and value the work done on site
Profile
A successful Assistant Quantity Surveyor should have:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
- Strong numerical and budgeting abilities
- Excellent knowledge of construction processes and materials
- Proficiency in computer software for project management
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
