Actively recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to work for a tier 1 main contractor company who turned over one and a half billion pounds last year in the UK. You will be working as a commercial number 1 with an overseeing managing surveyor on a 5M MOD project.

Responsibilities of Quantity Surveyor

• Manage packages from the earliest procurement stage and manage through to final account
• Conduct Monthly CVR's
• Appoint contractors and subcontractors and to place orders for materials and plant within delegated authorities
• Management of project risks and opportunities
• To measure and value work to support the invoicing of customers and payment to suppliers within delegated authorities

Requirements for Quantity Surveyor

• Experience managing the upstream of client side process.
• BSc or HND (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying preferred or other equivalent commercially related subject
• Preferably qualified to CIOB or RICS accreditation
• Relevant CSCS Card
• Ability to work on site where necessary
• Awareness and experience of construction methods, technology, standard forms of measurement and forms of contract, and health and safety requirements
• UK driving licence
• Willing to drive over the South
