Our on-site team member canteen serves hot food across the day to our workforce and we are currently looking for a Supervisor to manage one of our shifts.

Position Details

  • Shift Pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off
  • Shift Times: 6AM to 6PM (12-hour shifts)

Job Purpose

You will be required to prepare hot and cold food for the staff canteen but also manage the service of it during meal periods with your team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing hot and cold food (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) for up to 400 staff members within the site daily
  • Adhere to the menu plans set by Canteen Manager
  • Ensuring all canteen team members are trained to the required standard to comply with all company food safety, safe working practices and customer service standards
  • Carry out regular checks to ensure that both the canteen and your teams are complying with both food safety regulations and allergen policies
  • Completes health and safety audits of all areas of the canteen and ensures all corrective actions are completed within the agreed timeline
  • Ordering required stock from our approved suppliers to ensure the correct range of products are in stock and sold at the correct price
  • Ensuring the team fill up the staff shop so there is a varied choice of meals available at all times
  • Assisting the Canteen Manager with any stock takes required

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Experience of supervising a team of up to 5 staff
  • Experience of cooking at bulk volume for a high number of staff
  • You will need a good understanding of English both written and oral
  • Good level of numeracy skills
  • Pass level 2/foundation of food hygiene
  • Allergen awareness is desirable training will be provided
  • Good communication skills
  • Team Player
