We have an exciting role as a Commercial Finance Analyst in Esher, Surrey.

Job Summary: As Commercial Finance Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our pricing strategy, ensuring profitability, and driving growth. Do you have a strong background in pricing, margin analysis, data manipulation and Insights, then please read on!

In the Commercial Finance Analyst role, you will collaborate closely with various teams to develop and implement pricing models that align with our sales and profit goals. Your responsibilities will include analysing market trends, margin analysis, evaluating competitor pricing, and determining the business costs of our products and services. Your insights will be crucial in designing pricing strategies that maximize profitability while maintaining competitive advantage.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Our ideal candidate will be CIMA qualified
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial analysis, pricing/revenue analysis, preferably in a complex and dynamic industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful pricing strategies.
  • Deep understanding of data analysis and product profitability principles.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerBI for modelling and data visualization.
  • Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate market trends and proactively recommend changes to pricing strategies accordingly.

About The Role

Key Responsibilities

Being part of the Finance team, you will work with a large number of stakeholders from Operational teams, Implementation, and the Executive Team to develop and refine pricing strategies that align with business objectives. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Analysing market trends, customer behaviour, and competitor pricing to inform pricing decisions.
  • Developing pricing models that ensure profitable margins are achieved while maintaining competitiveness.
  • Designing presentations to prospective clients that clearly articulate the value proposition and pricing structure.
  • Developing a model to capture pricing data, including accepted and lost opportunities, to support future decision-making.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate pricing performance, making adjustments as needed to optimize profitability.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between pricing strategies and business goals.
  • Utilizing Excel and PowerBI to create and maintain pricing/revenue models and analytical reports.
