Commercial Finance Analyst

We are on the lookout for a commercially astute commercial finance analyst who has a passion for data and supporting business stakeholders with insightful commercial reporting and analysis.

Our client is a growing consumer services business that provides innovative products across a range of verticals. You'll be joining a dynamic finance team, partnering closely with business intelligence, sales, operations and the exec team to drive insights and decision support across the product portfolio.

The Role

The successful Commercial Finance Analyst will manage the following:

  • Collaborate closely with various teams to develop and implement pricing models that align with sales and profit goals.
  • Analysing market trends, margin analysis, evaluating competitor pricing, and determining the business costs of products and services.
  • Designing pricing strategies that maximise profitability while maintaining competitive advantage.
  • Analysing market trends, customer behaviour, and competitor pricing to inform pricing decisions.
  • Developing pricing models that ensure profitable margins are achieved while maintaining competitiveness.
  • Designing presentations to prospective customers that clearly articulate the value proposition and pricing structure.
  • Developing a model to capture pricing data, including accepted and lost opportunities, to support future decision-making.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate pricing performance, making adjustments as needed to optimise profitability.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between pricing strategies and business goals.
  • Utilising Excel and PowerBI to create and maintain pricing/revenue models and analytical reports.

Key criteria

  • Newly qualified or late stage studier (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
  • Prior experience in commercial analysis or pricing/revenue analysis, preferably in a complex and dynamic industry.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerBI for modelling and data visualisation.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and effectively.

Your Profile

We are looking for a well-educated qualified or late stage ACCA/CIMA/ACA studier who is looking to take the next step in an analytical and partnering focused role.

Someone with prior experience as a commercially focused management accountant, financial analyst, finance business partner or within an FP&A/commercial finance function would be ideally suited to this opportunity.

We need someone ambitious who enjoys working with data and has a commercial mindset, allied to the people skills to add value to a variety of stakeholders.

Benefits

£50,000 - £60,000 + benefits, full study support is also available if required. This role is offered on a hybrid basis 3 days per week in office.
