You are an experienced Mechanical Fitter skilled in working with a wide range of heavy plant machinery. You ensure that all equipment is maintained and repaired to the highest standards, delivering exceptional performance and reliability.You'll quickly address issues with production machines to keep operations running smoothly.
Shifts: Monday to Friday, Double Days. 0600-1400 and 1400-2200, rotating weekly.
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000
What will you be doing?
- Installation & Maintenance: Assist in setting up and maintaining outbye services, rock handling equipment, and district services.
- Project Support: Help install district mechanical and ventilation schemes according to the Mine plan.
- Planning & Preparation: Work on planning and prepping mine maintenance to reduce downtime.
- Reporting: Complete end-of-shift reports to company standards.
What We Need From You:
- Experience: Proven background in maintaining heavy plant equipment and production machinery.
- Skills: Knowledge of hydraulic systems, associated Permits to Work, and LOTO systems.
- Qualifications: A recognised mechanical apprenticeship (minimum Level 3).
- Safety First: Understanding of Risk Assessment processes and the ability to carry out dynamic on-the-job risk assessments.
