We are recruiting for two Signalling & Telecoms Engineers to join the Engineering team, you will play a key role in maintaining our systems assets so they are safe, reliable and fit for purpose.
The role will offer you lots of variety and no day will be the same. You will be hands on problem solving, fault finding and investigating root cause of system failures as well as supporting the delivery of system and telecoms renewals and projects.
Know your data and analyse asset performance data, support with performance reporting to support the delivery of improvement initiatives.

Key accountabilities will include:
• Work with the asset management team to analyse and report on asset performance and asset condition, driving improvement through raising renewals and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support the delivery of internal projects.
• Support on complex root cause investigations.
• Provide technical support to frontline maintainers.
• Effectively engage with TfGM stakeholders to ensure contractual obligations are delivered on time.
• Drive maintenance efficiency and asset performance improvement.
• Keep abreast of Industry best practice and deliver appropriate improvement initiatives for KAM.
• Champion health, safety and what good looks like embedding “Just Culture” in all ways of working.
• Support the development and implementation of relevant policies, procedures, task briefs and work instructions to underpin the Engineering ways of working.
What you’ll bring:
• Hold a HNC / degree qualification ideally in Engineering or a STEM subject and/or experience of working in an in an engineering environment
• Chartered Engineer or willingness to work towards
• Knowledge of Signalling and Telecoms assets
• Knowledge of Reliability Centred Maintenance principles and its application
• Experience of using a Computerised Maintenance Management System
• Ability to analyse data from a range of sources both quantitative and qualitive, including incomplete sources
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent IT skills including ability to manipulate data in standard Microsoft Office software
• Ability to understand and interpret legislation and standards relating to light rail systems
