Our client is an award-winning training and consultancy business who offer high quality specialising training programmes in the fire safety sector and more recently in building control & compliance.  They deliver hundreds of courses each year and have developed specialist programmes in investigation, enforcement and prosecution. They also offer nationally recognised qualifications via their apprenticeship program and now have a vacancy for an administrator to join their team and support the admin team from enrolment through to qualification.

The Role

Reporting to the Office Manager, your role will be varied, and you will assist in the administration of the full life cycle of training courses and apprenticeship programmes from the pre-course stage through to completion and post-course.

This will include dealing with booking forms, joining instructions, confirming course resources, preparing and despatching course material, feedback forms, assessments and qualifications, portfolio submissions & assessment and internal verification process, re-submission and qualification registration and updating database etc. 

You will be liaising and communicating with customers suppliers and staff by phone & email plus all relevant duties associated with ensuring the courses, apprenticeships and programmes run smoothly from inception to completion.

Additionally, you will assist with general office duties, e.g. sorting post, filing, dealing with incoming calls, updating database, ordering supplies, managing diaries, etc.

Skills and Qualifications

To be shortlisted for this role you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar administration role. 
  • To be an excellent communicator with strong problem-solving skills
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a continuous improvement mindset. 
  • A high attention to detail, who is a confident, team player, who can take responsibility, has a positive “can do” attitude and who is committed to delivering high quality services.
